Indianapolis Zoo

The zoo hosts about 1.4 million visitors each year and plays a role in worldwide conservation and research, including accomplishing the world’s first successful artificial insemination of an African elephant. The Indianapolis Zoo is the only institution accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA) and the American Association of Museums as a zoo, an aquarium, and as a botanical garden.


White River Gardens

White River Gardens continues the Indianapolis Zoo’s mission of connecting animals, plants and people.  This stunningly beautiful 3.3-acre landmark botanical attraction combines the best of gardening ideas, plant information and inspirational design to serve the needs of all visitors.


Motor Speedway

The Indianapolis Motor Speedway Hall of Fame Museum, located five miles northwest of downtown Indianapolis on the grounds of the famous Indianapolis Motor Speedway, is recognized as one of the most highly visible museums in the world devoted to automobiles and auto racing. In 1987, the museum and Speedway grounds were honored with the designation of National Historic Landmark.


The Children's Museum

The Children's Museum of Indianapolis is a nonprofit institution committed to creating extrordinary family learning experiences that have the power to transform the lives of children and families. The 472,900 square-foot facility houses 11 major galleries. Visitors can explore the physical and natural sciences, history, world cultures, the arts, see how dinosaurs lived 65 million years ago in Dinosphere: Now You're in Their World®, experience Dale Chihuly's Fireworks of Glass and examine children's impact in shaping history in The Power of Children: Making a Difference. The Chldren's Museum, situated on 20 acres of land in Indianapolis, presents hundreds of programs and activities each year.


Circle Center Mall

Circle Center Mall has an assortment of over 100 shopping, dining, and entertainment experiences all in one shopping mall. This four level shopping complex is located in downtown Indianapolis Indiana in the Wholesale District anchored by Carson Pirie Scott and Nordstrom department stores. In addition to over 100 specialty stores, the Circle Center mall always offers exciting and unique experiences. Seven hotels conveniently connect to Circle Center Mall via covered skywalks.

In Indiana, the age-old art of winemaking is transformed into a casual event with a relaxed Hoosier style. Victory Field

Current minor league baseball park that is the home of the Indianapolis Indians of the International League. It opened in mid-summer 1996 and replaced Bush Stadium, which had also been called Victory Field for some 25 years of its existence. The new park seated 15,500 fans when it was originally opened, however a 1000 seat bleacher section was removed to make room for a picnic area. There are currently 12,500 permanent seats and room for approximately 2000 more fans on the outfield lawn.


The Canal Walk

The Canal Walk, is a 3-mile loop, a popular urban respite for fitness enthusiasts and serenity-seekers alike. This Downtown waterfront is dotted with pedal boats and gondolas, bicycles and surreys.

The Slippery Noodle

The Slippery Noodle, Indiana's oldest continually-operated bar (it began life in 1850 as the Tremont House and is on the National Register of Historic Places), the Slippery Noodle is home of the Blues in Indiana with live local, regional, and national band seven nights a week. Two bands are featured every Friday and Saturday night on two separate stages. Musicians who have played there include Luther Allison, Magic Dick, Jay Giles, John Mayall, Albert Collins, Buddy Miles, Charlie Musselwhite, Junior Wells, Matt “Guitar” Murphy, James Cotton, Yank Rachell, Clarence “Gatemouth” Brown and Johnny Clyde Copeland to name just a few.


Indianapolis Museum of Art

The Indianapolis Museum of Art has a collection of over 50,000 works of art. At the Museum, you will find art from a variety of cultures and periods in art history. The Museum also features national and international traveling exhibitions throughout the year. Admission is free.
